GetWay Terms of Use
Version 1 · Last updated:
These terms of use (“terms”) are an agreement between you and Logi Way (“we”, “us”), the developer of the GetWay route planner app (“Route Planner - GetWay” on Google Play and the App Store; on the App Store it is published under the name Yona Lurie).
Please read them. The app asks you to accept them before you first send or receive a route, share your route or position with your team, or use GetWay Market. The binding version is this English text.
In short
These terms
- These terms apply to the GetWay app. The app asks you to accept them before you first send or receive a route, share your route with your team, or use GetWay Market.
- Only the English text is binding. A summary in another language helps you read it and does not change it.
Your routes and your customers' details
- You are responsible for the addresses and customer details you add. Add them, and pass them on, only when you are allowed to.
- The driver who takes your route receives your customers' details and keeps them like any stop he typed: addresses, names, notes and phone numbers.
Sending routes and teams
- A route reaches another driver only after he accepts it. A driver outside your team can accept it only with an active paid subscription.
- A team manager sees a driver’s route and progress only after the driver confirms him. The driver’s position is shared only if he turns it on: only the latest position, sent only while GetWay is open on his screen and kept at most 24 hours, never a history.
GetWay Market
- GetWay Market is for adults (18 or older); offering or asking for a route needs an active paid subscription. Offers have fixed fields only (date, time, stops, cities, offered amount): no free text and no chat.
- Offers must be real, lawful and truthful.
- The offered amount is what the publisher pays the driver who carries out the route. Payment is arranged directly between the two drivers: GetWay handles no money, charges nothing for offers and is not a party.
- The approved driver receives the customers’ phone numbers only from the start of the route’s date.
- Until the route is completed, the publisher sees which of its stops are done, the planned arrival times at them and any note the approved driver adds to them. He sees that driver’s position only if the driver shares it.
- “Routes near me” uses your approximate area (about 5 km), never your exact position.
Safety
- You can report and block other users. GetWay reviews reports and can remove offers and suspend accounts; you can ask us to look at a decision again. When you ask for a GetWay Market offer, its publisher sees how many reports against you we upheld, if any.
How long data is kept
- A shared position: only the latest one, deleted within 24 hours. A route you received stays in your account like your own stops. Reports: 24 months. The privacy policy has the full list.
Changes and contact
- Before an important change takes effect, the app tells you and asks you to accept the new version. You can write to us with any question.

1. About these terms
These terms apply to the GetWay apps for Android and iPhone and to the services our servers provide to them. By accepting them in the app, or by using a feature that asks for them, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use those features: the rest of the app keeps working as before.
The binding version of these terms is this English text. Summaries in other languages are there to help you read it; they do not replace or change it.
How we collect and use personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
If you got GetWay from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store’s own terms also apply to downloading the app and to paying for subscriptions (section 17).
2. Who may use GetWay
GetWay is a work tool for drivers, couriers and field teams. You may use it if you can make a binding agreement under the law of your country.
- Sending a route to a driver outside your team, receiving a route from someone outside your team, and GetWay Market are only for adults: you must be 18 or older.
- You may not use GetWay where the law does not allow it, or after we suspended or closed your account (section 14).
- If you use GetWay for a business, for example as the manager of a team plan, you accept these terms for that business as well, and you confirm that you are allowed to.
3. Your account
- Give correct information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what is done in your account.
- If you think someone else uses your account, tell us at once at support@getway.io.
- A new phone that signs in to your account may need to be confirmed - from your other phone, with a code sent to your e-mail, with your share code or by your team manager - before it can receive routes, see a team or act in GetWay Market. If a phone that is not yours asks to be confirmed, refuse it and contact us.
- The name you show to other drivers must be your own name or a fair short form of it. It may not contain contact details, links, or offensive or misleading words. We may remove a name that breaks this rule; you can then choose a new one.
4. Subscriptions
- Part of GetWay is free. A subscription opens more, as described in the app and in the store. Subscriptions are paid to Google Play or the Apple App Store, renew under their terms, and are cancelled in the store, not in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Some features are open only to an account with an active paid subscription confirmed by Google Play or the App Store, or with a seat in a paid team plan: receiving a route from a driver outside your team, and offering or asking for routes in GetWay Market. A free-use coupon does not count as a paid subscription for these features.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its own rules. We never see your card or bank details.
5. Your routes and other people’s details
The addresses, names, phone numbers, notes and other details you add to GetWay are yours, and you are responsible for them. Most of them are about other people - your customers. You must:
- add, keep and pass on a person’s details only when you are allowed to (for example because he gave them to you for a delivery or a visit), and only for that purpose;
- make sure, before you send a route, offer it in GetWay Market or share it with your team, that you have the right to hand those details to the other driver. This duty is yours as the sender;
- not add details that the work does not need, and not write sensitive details, for example about health, in notes.
You allow us to store, copy, process and show your content only as needed to run GetWay for you and for the users you choose to share it with. We do not use your customers’ details for anything else and do not hand them to anyone else for their own use, with two exceptions that our privacy policy describes: addresses and the text you search for are sent to Google Maps Platform to find them and show them on the map, and Google uses them under its own privacy policy; and when you start navigation, the destination goes to the navigation app you choose.
6. What is not allowed
When you use GetWay you must not:
- break the law, or use GetWay for an unlawful delivery, transport or activity;
- offer or send a route that is false or misleading, or that is not yours to hand over;
- harass, threaten, deceive or defraud other users, or put anyone’s safety at risk;
- use other users’ details, or your customers’ details, for anything but the route they were given for;
- send unwanted routes or offers in bulk, or use GetWay to advertise;
- use a name or content that is offensive, hateful, sexual or discriminatory, or that pretends to be someone else, GetWay included;
- collect information about other users, copy GetWay’s data in bulk, or reach the service with bots or scripts;
- try to get around a limit, a block, a suspension or a security check, reach accounts or data that are not yours, or disturb our servers;
- copy, change or take apart the app, except as far as the law allows it.
This is the content and behaviour our moderation acts on (section 10).
7. Sending and receiving routes
With “Send route” you can hand a whole route - every open stop of a day - to another driver: to a member of your team from your team list, or to any other GetWay user by his exact e-mail address or share code.
- A route reaches the other driver only after he accepts it. Until then you can take it back; if it is not accepted, you can put the stops back in your route.
- A driver outside your team must type the 4-digit hand-over code shown on your screen, and can accept only with an active paid subscription (section 4).
- The driver who takes your route receives your customers' details and keeps them like any stop he typed: their addresses, names, notes and phone numbers. We cannot remove them from his account later. Send a route only to a driver you are allowed to give these details to (section 5).
- A driver outside your team does not receive your start and end points or the planned times of the route.
- After you hand over a route, you do not see what the other driver does with it. Only a team manager (section 8) and the publisher of a GetWay Market offer (section 9) see a route after it was handed over, as those sections describe.
- If you receive a route you do not want, decline it, and report it if it is unwanted or abusive.
- We may limit how many routes can be sent, to whom and how often, to prevent abuse.
8. Team map
In a team plan, the manager can see the drivers of his team on a map, see each driver’s route of the day, and move a route from one driver to another. This works only with each driver’s agreement:
- A driver’s route of the day - the names, addresses, phone numbers and notes of its stops, his start and end points, and which stops are done and which are not - reaches the manager only after the driver confirmed in his own app that this person is his manager. A driver can decline, and can stop sharing at any time in the app.
- A driver’s position is shared only if he turns position sharing on. Only his latest position is kept, it is sent only while GetWay is open on his screen and he has an open stop that day, and it is deleted at the latest 24 hours after it was sent. There is no location history.
- The manager’s own position is never sent to his drivers.
- Refusing to share costs a driver nothing in the app.
- When the manager moves a route, only the stops that are not done yet move, and the receiving driver adds them in his app.
If you are a manager, you must:
- tell your drivers, before you use the team map, what you can see and why;
- use what you see only to organise the work of the team, never outside working hours or for a purpose your drivers were not told about;
- let each driver decide freely whether to share his position;
- comply with the employment and privacy laws that apply to you and to your drivers. For your team’s data, your business decides the purpose and we act on its behalf.
9. GetWay Market
GetWay Market lets a driver offer a route he cannot or does not want to carry out to other drivers near him, and lets a driver ask for an offered route.
Who may use it
- You must be 18 or older.
- To offer or ask for a route you need an active paid subscription (section 4), an account at least 7 days old, a confirmed phone and a name to show (section 3), and you must have accepted these terms and the GetWay Market rules in the app.
- Members of a team plan cannot use GetWay Market: the routes of a business stay inside its team.
- GetWay Market may not be available in your country.
Offers and requests
- An offer has fixed fields only: the date and start time, the number of stops, up to three city names, the offered amount and whether it is flexible, and the publisher’s name, the month since which he is a confirmed subscriber and how many routes he handed over and completed. There is no free text, no photo, no link and no chat.
- An offer is shown to drivers near its area, in the same country, who use GetWay in the same language, with roughly how far it is from them. Your exact position is never shown.
- Offers must be real, lawful and truthful: a route you really have, on the date and at the time shown, with the amount you will really pay, which you have the right to hand over (section 5).
- A driver asks for an offer with one tap and, when the offer is flexible, may propose another amount. When you ask for an offer, its publisher sees your name, the month since which you are a confirmed subscriber, how many routes you handed over and completed and, if any, how many reports against you we upheld (section 10). The publisher approves one driver or declines.
When the publisher approves a driver
- The route leaves the publisher’s day and goes to the approved driver, who adds it to his day. If he does not add it in time, the publisher can put it back in his own route.
- The driver who takes your route receives your customers' details and keeps them like any stop he typed. The customers’ phone numbers reach him only from the start of the route’s date (in the route’s time zone).
- Each driver’s own phone number is shown to the other only if he entered it for GetWay Market and chose to show it, and only until 7 days after the route was completed.
- Until the route is completed, and at the latest until the end of the day after the route’s date, the publisher sees the stops of the route he handed over as they are in the approved driver’s app: which of them are done, the planned arrival and departure times at them, any note or other change the approved driver makes to them, and when his app last updated them. The planned times show when the approved driver expects to be at each of those addresses.
- The publisher sees the approved driver’s position only if that driver chose to share it while he works on that route.
Payment between the drivers
- The offered amount is what the publisher pays the driver who carries out the route.
- Payment is arranged directly between the two drivers. GetWay is not a party to their arrangement, does not handle, hold or transfer any money, charges nothing for offers or requests and takes no share of any payment.
- The two drivers are responsible for their arrangement, for any tax, licence or insurance their work needs, and for carrying out the deliveries lawfully and safely. GetWay does not check the drivers, the goods or the deliveries beyond what this section describes.
Routes near me
- If you allow it, GetWay uses your approximate area (about 5 km, never your exact position) to show you offers near you and, if you also allow notifications, to tell you about new ones. This area is deleted 30 days after you last used GetWay Market, or when you leave it.
- You can turn off the notifications about new offers in the app’s settings, and leave GetWay Market at any time in its settings. Leaving removes your area and your phone number, withdraws your requests and cancels your open offers; routes you already added stay in your account.
10. Reports, blocks, moderation and suspension
- You can report an offer, a request, a route you received or a user: choose a reason and, if you want, add a short note that only GetWay reads. The person you report is not told who reported him.
- You can block a user: his offers, requests and routes no longer reach you, and yours no longer reach him. Neither of you is told.
- We review reports and aim to decide within 24 hours. When content or behaviour breaks these terms or the law, or puts people at risk, we may remove an offer, remove a name, hide an offer while we review it (this can happen on its own when several trusted users report it), suspend an account from GetWay Market or from sending routes, or close an account.
- If we uphold reports against you, the publisher of each GetWay Market offer you ask for sees how many (section 9), but not who made them or why.
- When we remove an offer, its publisher is told the reason in the app; a user whose access we paused sees it in the app and can ask us why. If you think we made a mistake, write to support@getway.io and we will look at it again.
- We may report unlawful activity to the authorities and keep the information the law requires.
11. How long the data of these features is kept
In short; the full list is in the privacy policy:
- A shared position: only the latest one. It is deleted when sharing stops, at the last done stop of the day, at sign-out, and at the latest 24 hours after it was sent.
- A day’s route shared with your team or with a GetWay Market publisher: deleted at the latest 24 hours after the end of that day.
- A route you send: the copy on our server is deleted when you take it back, 72 hours after it was declined or not accepted in time, at the latest 7 days after the other driver added it (in GetWay Market, 7 days after the start of the route’s date if that is later), and, if he accepted it but never added it, 30 days after he accepted it. Once added, the route stays in the other driver’s account like his own stops.
- A GetWay Market offer: its route details are deleted as above when it is handed over, or 72 hours after it was cancelled, expired or removed. Offers and requests without route details are deleted 90 days after they closed. Which offers were shown to you: 90 days after the offer closed. Your approximate area: 30 days after its last use. The phone number you entered for GetWay Market: until you remove it or leave GetWay Market.
- Reports: 24 months. Our decisions on them, such as a suspension: while they apply and 24 months after. Blocks: as long as your account exists. Your acceptance of these terms and your sharing choices: as long as your account exists.
- When your account is deleted, everything these features keep about you is deleted with it, except a route another driver already added, which is his, and reports, our decisions on them and the other records that this section or our privacy policy keeps for a fixed time, which are deleted when that time ends.
12. The service
- GetWay plans and arranges routes, shows maps and hands routes between users. Times, distances and arrangements are estimates. Always obey the traffic laws and the road signs, and do not handle your phone while you drive.
- Features may open step by step: a feature may be open for some accounts or countries before others, and we may pause or close a feature at any time, for example for safety or maintenance. Routes already in your account stay yours.
- GetWay depends on the internet, on your device and on other services (maps, the stores, notifications). We work to keep it running but cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors.
- GetWay, its name, logo and software belong to us or to our licensors. You may use the app on devices you own or control for as long as you may use GetWay under these terms.
13. Responsibility
GetWay is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises beyond these terms, and we are not responsible for:
- arrangements, payments, deliveries or disputes between users, including those that started in GetWay Market;
- content that other users add, including the routes they send or offer;
- losses caused by a wrong address or estimate, a delay, a paused feature or an outage;
- indirect or consequential losses, or lost profits, business or data.
As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim about GetWay is limited to what you paid for your GetWay subscription in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law does not allow to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
You are responsible for the content you add and for how you use GetWay. If a claim is made against us because you broke these terms or the law - for example by passing on a person’s details without permission - you will cover our reasonable costs, as far as the law allows.
14. Ending your use
- You can stop using GetWay at any time and delete your account in the app (menu, “Delete account”) or as explained on the account deletion page.
- We may suspend or close your account, or your access to a feature, if you break these terms or the law, if your use puts others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we tell you first and give the reason.
- Sections that by their nature should continue after the end - for example section 5, section 13 and section 16 - continue.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when GetWay or the law changes. Each version has a number, shown at the top of this page. Before an important change takes effect, we tell you in the app, and the app asks you to accept the new version before you use the features that need it. If you do not accept it, you can stop using those features; the rest of the app keeps working.
16. Applicable law and disputes
Before going to court, please write to us at support@getway.io: most problems are solved this way. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without its conflict-of-law rules. If you use GetWay as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that country.
17. Apple App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded GetWay from the Apple App Store:
- these terms are between you and us, not Apple; we, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content;
- your license to download and use the app is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms add the rules of the GetWay service and its features;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; questions and complaints come to us (section 18);
- if the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the amount you paid for the app, if any; as far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claim about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims;
- you confirm that you are not in a country under a United States government embargo and are not on a United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
If you downloaded GetWay from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to downloading the app and to paying for subscriptions.
