How to plan a route with many stops in Google Maps

Google Maps takes up to 10 stops and does not reorder them. GetWay takes your whole list, finds the shortest order with arrival times, and then opens each stop in Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps.

The limit of Google Maps

In Google Maps you can add up to 10 stops to one route, and it drives them in the order you typed. It does not look for a shorter order, so with many addresses you sort them yourself.

Plan the order in GetWay, drive in Google Maps

  1. Add your stops. Type the addresses in GetWay or add them by voice. No account is needed.
  2. Tap Optimize. GetWay puts every stop in the shortest order and shows an arrival time at each one.
  3. Choose Google Maps and go. In GetWay’s settings choose Google Maps (or Waze, or Apple Maps). Tap a stop and it opens there; after each stop, come back for the next.

Good to know

  • Free for up to 5 stops a day, every day; a subscription removes the stop limit.
  • Optional time windows and time at each stop are part of the order.
  • Keeps working without internet once the route is loaded.
